The Vieques native, Bieque’s Bistro Restaurant, has just won the first prize in the national pastry Chef competition in Puerto Rico, Pastry Lovers Fest. The competition was held in the San Juan Convention Center on Saturday, November 22 2015. Team Bieque’s Bistro, is composed by three Vieques Chefs  Sonia Romero, owner of Bieque’s Bistro, Yariel Romero and Ibis Ramos. The team took first place in the cup cake challenge. They received the award for best taste, presentation, assembly and professionalism. They won a crystal plaque presented by Chef Cielito Rosado, Amapola flour, KitchenAid blender, and all expenses paid to compete in Pastry Lovers Fest in Miami. It is a great pride for Vieques have our own participate and win in these competitions. Cudos to Sonia Romero and her Bieque’s Bistro.
